Manimahesh Lake is situated at 27 km from Bharmour at the foot of Manimahesh Kailash. Lord Shiva is believed to reside on this snow-covered mountain. The best time to do this trek is frim June to Mid October, after that this trek gets filled up with snow and blocks all the way to reach Kailash Manimahesh Lake.
Arrival at Chamba or Pathankot and get picked up by taxi to drive till Bharmour, The drive from Chamba to Bharmour is 2 hours and from pathankot it is 5 hours and 30 mins, Arrive at Bharmour today and checkin to the guest house freshen up take rest and later by evening board the taxi to drive to Bharmani mata temple today which is at a distance of 5 km from Bharmour, as It is believed that Kailash Mani Mahesh yatra is incomplete if one do not visit Bharmani mata temple, back to the guest house for dinner and overnight stay.
After taking the Breakfast and packed Lunch proceed to Hadsar (20kms By Taxi).The Trek starts from Hadsar It’s a 7 kms Trek through beautiful meadows following the stream. At the start the trek is easy after crossing the stream via bridge ,the trek becomes a little bit steeper which take you through the forests later reach Dhancho, pitch your camps take dinner and overnight stay in the camps.
Early in the morning right after early breakfast start the Trek to Kailash Manimahesh (7 to 8 kms Trek). It is a steep Trek till Gauri Kund. The path is treacherous and takes around 5 - 6 hours, Will take a halt at Gauri Kund. Kailash Manimahesh is visible from Gauri Kund and is only a kilometer away from Gauri Kund. After reaching Manimahesh, Get mesmerised by the beauty of Kailash Manimahesh , pay a visit at the open temple at the lake , take a dip in the holy water of the lake and make a wish, You may also meditate in the peaceful environment and later trek back to Gauri kund for overnight stay take dinner and sleep in the tents under the reflection of the Mighty Kailash Manimahesh.
Today right after the breakfast fold your camps and start ascending to Hadsar via Dhancho its a trek of 14 km which might take up to 7-8 hours, Have packed lunch somewhere in between the jungle take rest for 30 mins and start trekking back until you reach Hadsar, At hadsar board the taxi and drive towards Bharmour (20 km) and check in to the guest house and take rest after the dinner.
Today after the breakfast checkout from the guest house and board your taxi towards Chamba or pathankot with sweet memories and another adventure plans.
